Spring Forward: Recharging Canada’s Economy with Renewables

CanREA will host a Spring Forward event on April 28 and 29, exploring how renewable energy and energy storage will play a critical role in boosting economic growth and job creation in 2021.

Topic will include:

Navigating the energy transition across Canada and the U.S: A panel of experts will unpack the complementarity of Canadian and U.S. policies regarding climate change and the impact of these policies on the economies of both countries.

From $170 to Net-Zero: Canada’s explosive new carbon price: This session will explore the impact of carbon pricing on markets, electrification, long-term industrial thinking and the attractiveness of renewable energy investments in Canada.

The story on storage: CanREA’s new Storage Director, Leonard Olien, will present CanREA members’ vision of the future of energy storage in Canada and discuss the regional outlook with utilities and system operators.

Exploring Opportunities for Green Hydrogen: This session will dive deep into the potential opportunities provided by new developments in green hydrogen as a means of supporting electrification as nations across the world navigate the energy transition.
